Data-tool MCP calls use the 5 free daily calls per IP. ask_hirepulse_advisor is always free and never uses that quota. After that, MCP calls can be paid inside MCP with x402: the tool returns isError with the x402 PaymentRequired terms in structuredContent; repeat the same tools/call with params._meta["x402/payment"] set to the signed payment payload (the @x402/mcp client does this automatically). The receipt comes back in result._meta["x402/payment-response"]. Paid calls also work over plain HTTP with x402.
